Overview
The park offers a variety of overnight facilities including a modern campground.
Campground
- Full hook-up, electric and non-electric sites available
- Half the sites are “tent” only
- Flush toilets, showers, and a dump station
- Vehicles (incl. golf carts) limited to one per site; overflow parking available
- Campers must have reservations (no walk-in sites)
- Sites may be reserved from May 1 thru mid-October
Things to note
- The Ferry cost $120 round trip, which included a truck and 20ish foot RV
- The pricing at the Island General store isn’t that bad, and it has fresh fruit and vegetables
- Renting a golf cart is totally worth it as it is much more difficult navigating the island with a car or truck. We suggest The Golf Cart Depot as it has the nicest, most affordable carts.
- There is a gate code to get into the park. Be mindful that people do troll around looking to obtain the code at the entrance.
- While you are there, check out the OSU Stone Laboratory. They continue to do great research on the island and have a pretty cool observatory. Check the hours before your visit.
